Established in 2009, the Professional Women of St. Tammany Scholarship Program is funded by proceeds from our various fundraising events and donations. To date we have awarded over $134,000 in scholarships to deserving women of St. Tammany pursuing higher education and advancement in the workforce.

This scholarship is open ONLY to St. Tammany Parish female residents.

Women attending college or university in Fall 2017 are invited to apply, as well as women continuing their education for professional reasons.  There will be $2,500 and $1,000 Scholarships available.  Scholarship winners will be notified on May 4th 2017.  The Awards Ceremony celebrating recipients will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Professional Women of St. Tammany’s Monthly Luncheon.


1. Your application packet must include:

  • A complete scholarship application filled out honestly and accurately and signed by student.  If applicant is 18 or younger, an additional signature by parent/guardian is required.
  • Two separate Recommendation Forms from non-family community members such as colleagues, counselors, teachers, church pastors, employers, etc.  Forms are provided on website and must be turned in according to directions. Forms must be mailed in via USPS and postmarked by application deadline of March 15, 2017. We recommend you supply stamped envelopes addressed to Scholarship Chair P O Box 831 Mandeville, La 70470
  • Copy of all high school and/or college transcripts to date
  • Copy of ACT or SAT scores or other standardized testing required for admittance
  • Copies of College Acceptance Letters or Proof of Registration

Applications must be submitted online to by March 15, 2017 or mailed to the address listed above.

The following Grading Criteria will be used by Scholarship Committee Evaluators:

  • 10% Checklist Completed / All Instructions were Followed
  • 30% Financial Need
  • 20% Education and Goals
  • 10% Employment / Civic Involvement
  • 15% Essay
  • 15% Recommendations
